Music Ministry
Mission Statement The objective of the music ministry is to lead our people in worship through song while providing a prayerful, uplifting, and spiritually meaningful experience. We seek to foster community and faith sharing among our people as we worship with one voice for the greater glory of God.

About Our Ministry Music is a vital element of worship in our parish. Great care is taken in the planning and implementation of hymns, responses, and choral music so as to support the liturgy to its fullest extent. Our music ministry is therefore guided by professionals with years of performance and liturgical experience. In addition, we frequently invite some of the finest musicians in the region for special feasts and celebrations. The music ministry also sponsors concerts, seminars, and other events throughout the year, all of which are open to the community.
Our principal vocal ensemble is the Monastery Singers, an adult chorus composed entirely of parishioners. From September to June they minister at the 11:00 a.m. Mass and on occasion at the 8:30 a.m. service. The Singers also lead us in worship for important feasts and celebrations throughout the year. The current ensemble enjoys a vast repertoire that includes traditional and contemporary hymns, spirituals, gospel music, chant, and various multi-cultural and bilingual pieces.
The Children's Choir is for young people in grades 2 - 7. This group rehearses during Sunday school and sings for select liturgies throughout the year. The Children's Choir also participates in ministerial outreach by visiting nursing homes and retirement communities in the area.
Get Involved Both choirs are always open to new members. A background in music or prior experience is not required. If you or someone you know is interested in joining either ensemble please contact Michael Angelucci, Director of Music. We look forward to welcoming you into our ministry!
