St. Joseph Monastery Parish
Welcome to St. Joseph's Monastery Parish

We, the people of St. Joseph's Monastery Parish, are a community of Christ-centered believers.  As ministers of Christ, we seek to glorify His name by living out the Good News.  We strive to follow God's will as discerned in prayer, and are committed to becoming instruments of His love through service to all people.

We invite you to browse the website and learn more about our church, its missions, and our fellowship as one in Christ Jesus.  All are welcome!

Project PLASE - NEW! (1.22.12)

Like all Passionists, the Passionists at St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish make a special promise to proclaim the greatness of God’s love for each and every person through the passion and death of His son, Jesus.  They do this in particular by preaching and serving in various ministries among the poor and marginalized - the people in whom they see the ‘crucified’ today.

By supporting the establishment of housing and social services in the empty school building of the parish, the Monastery community bears witness to God’s great love for those who are poor and suffering.  With the help of Project PLASE, this community of Passionists and parishioners is able to increase its outreach and service to the people of Irvington with whom they share much in common.
